Today(1st May 2009) is Labour day. Labour Day or Labor day is an annual holiday celebrated worldwide. Indeed it was to celebrate the economic and social achievements of the workers.
According to Wikipedia, the celebration of Labour Day has its origins in the Eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.
