Happy 51st Independant Day, Malaysia.

This year(2008), Malaysia celebrates its 51st anniversary of independence. Theme for this year is "Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan". However the celebrations this year are less "vibrant" compared to the last two years amidst political fronts and price hikes. The logo for this year is as below:

By the way, my former School of La Salle Klang had showed some patriotism too. Published in the "STAR" paper yesterday(30.08.08);

THE 8 WONDERS (08.08.08)

Hi all. Today is Friday, 08.08.08. Oh yes, the Magic of 8 is back today(08.08.08). And yes, it is indeed a very special day because of the triple eights - the last time 08.08.08 appeared was 100 years ago(08.08.1908). It also mark the start of 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic. The date holds auspicious connotations such as fortune, prosperity and good tidings.
The shape of this number also makes it unique. Nothing happens to this number if you invert it vertically or if you mirrored it. And yet, you still get the same number "8".
And to commemorate this date(08.08.08), here presenting you, the number plates with B's and 8's. Happy viewing.(P.S: Click on picture for better view).
